Speaking of other times i was thinking that last year we went for a "Awakino Sheep Meat" ride which from memory was a bloody good time by all.
Freezing bloody cold, lots of ice on the road, cold fingers and some really tight bung hole clenches with some close calls but a really excellent ride.
Think some charity was involved and a few raffles run.
We met up with the Dorklanders, Hamilholians and a few other hangers on and met up with the Wanganui, Palmy crowd at Awakino.
Just checked it was in July last year.
Question is can we do it again this year even if it is a bit late.
    And would anybody be interested??
I cannot remember who organised it but I think it was someone from Wanganui way.

Yeah, that was a good ride! Was our Naki lad Sensei and Quasi who organised that one. Pity Dover ate all the meat tho.
Could do with a decent meat feast....it's been a while.
You going to organise it Tono?

i'm on boredband!!! (the vodafone/ihug promo at the mo)

didn't make it tonight; was up in the Mamakus all day and went back to Rexel for a few b'day brews (one of the lads, not me..)

is there racing that w/end Tboy?

Tones, my sphincter clinched so much during that ride it cramped!! The best slips were the unexpected ones, cos by then it was too late to be anxious anyhow!!

That Awakino meat ride was interesting to say the least! Ice and grit every where.

Just back from Gissy and gotta say the Waioeka gorge was looking fookin mint. Hows about we ride it on the 15th sept? Could even go the hole way to Smash Palace.
