    I see you're adopting Mashy's tactics, post inflammatory crap and then refuse to back it up - that's not like you.
    I did in fact google all sorts of combinations of the words “human rights” “New Zealand” “United Nations” etc..for little result.
    So perhaps you’d care to put up, Mashy Junior?

    This is fucking funny.

    These are comments and recommendations made by these outstanding practitioners of human rights:

    Iran (Islamic Republic of) expressed concern over insufficient safeguards to protect
    the rights of minorities from discrimination and marginalization, putting them at a higher
    risk of torture and ill-treatment, and the continued high levels of violence against women,
    particularly Māori, Pacific and minority women.

    Libya welcomed the intention of the Government to introduce a new action plan for
    human rights and encouraged consultations with all stakeholders. It noted the efforts and
    the positive results of the Māori and the Pacifika in the field of employment, health,
    education and administration of justice.

    128.38. Continue to address all forms of political, economic and social
    discrimination against the Māori and Pacific population by meeting their
    various demands for constitutional and legal reforms and recognition
    (Somalia);

    128.53. Facilitate the realization of economic, social and cultural rights
    through the reconstruction of the areas affected by earthquakes in 2010 and
    2011 (Algeria);

    128.55. Continue efforts aimed at promoting the rights of children, in
    particular in the spheres of education, elimination of child poverty, meeting
    needs of vulnerable and at-risk children (Ukraine);
    128.56. Further strengthen its efforts in ensuring the protection of
    children’s rights, including by fully implementing the 2013 Vulnerable
    Children Bill and by considering implementing the restorative justice
    principles to all children (Indonesia);
    128.133. Establish appropriate national strategies with the aim to identify
    and address structural discrimination in the justice system (Iran (Islamic
    Republic of));

    128.135. Exchange with other States its successful experience in the field of
    food security (Somalia);
    128.136. Ensure primary health facilities are adequately equipped to provide
    care for persons with intellectual disabilities (Israel);
    128.137. Step up efforts in providing equal access to health services to its
    people, particularly to the minority and indigenous peoples in the country
    (Malaysia);
    128.138. Increase the number of childcare facilities and ensure that the most
    disadvantaged groups also have an access to childcare subsidies under the
    Working Families Scheme (Kyrgyzstan);
    128.139. Take additional measures to increase access to free education for
    children from low-income families and families living in rural areas
    (Kyrgyzstan);
    128.140. Take measures to address obstacles to accessing free education
    (Namibia);

    You seem to be assuming that I take this seriously.

    I thought I was just posting the pic as an inflammatory action - and then sit back and watch the fireworks.

    That's weird considering that Islamic countries tend to have the worst human rights record in the world. Try preaching Christianity over there and see what happens...

    Wow UPR 13/14 jobs for the quango's, freeloading power mongers and their ilk. It's one of those wonderful reports where there is a "problem" and they think all governments should just jump, throw loads of resources at it in the hope of finding a solution, without regard to cost. As with all these things, there does not appear to be an objective yardstick to describe any of the rights that have been breached, such as poverty. Nor is their any recognition that in order to apply these rights, the rights and freedoms of others will be impinged upon, just because some organisation believes this is the way society should run.

    I wonder how the report would have read without the Christchurch earthquake; or how other countries would have been measured with a backdrop of a disaster of such magnitude. Think about the anarchy, crime and rights abuses in the good old US of A around New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

    I love the way that it blames the government for poor people having poor children, with violent men abusing their partners and children. Maybe John Key is responsible for all the poor children; it does say that 50% of sexual abuse is against European NZ women and 95% is against women 16-30 ...good child bearing age. No wonder John is smiling.
    Legalise anarchy
