My 80 year old grandad tells me stories of when his model a ford had a advance/retard lever, haha.

None of my bikes have them, and they're twice my age!

Yeah it was - I've owned more than one bike with manual advance/retard ... put it half advanced to kick start - then full advance when ready to ride .. and a small lever to open a valve so you can kick over the engine to the starting point ..

Now days if they are shut for half a day it's like the worlds going to end.
It was still like that in many parts of South Africa last time I was there about 6 years ago.

Back in the days when the skids would go off really well, with big queues of Skylines, Cefiros and Laurels all waiting to have a go on the "skid pad", like Pound and Ryans Rd intersection.

The big cruises around the 4 aves in Christchurch.

The world really could do with some little SMOKEU's.

However, I don't plan on breeding, because I don't like kids and don't want that sort of responsibility.
