    Phone not receiving txt messages

There are 2 phones, both connected to the 2degrees network. Phone A (Galaxy S2) can "send" txt messages to phone B (cheap oldskool Nokia I think), but phone B never receives the messages. However, phone B can send txt messages to phone A, and phone A always receives them. There are no apparent errors when trying to send the message either, but the messages just vanish. Phone reception is not an issue as both phones are located in Christchurch.

Both phones don't seem to have any issues sending/receiving messages to/from other phones. It's just that these 2 phones won't play nice, and it's been happening for a few months now.

Are you replying to phone B's number or going off one saved? Check the country prefix. I just had a problem with this and a mate in Aus the other day (I'm 2degress and couldn't receive her messages) and I think it was because she manually put in +64 instead of 0064 from memory (or some BS like that). She tinkered with the number and it works now.

I reply straight to the saved number in the stock Android messaging app. When I go to message details, the number starts with +64, just like every other phone number that is stored on my phone.

Try removing it, checking for any duplicates in the phone, and adding it manually from scratch. Sometimes there are random little things, and starting afresh can help.

All I can offer is that I know for sure an S2/2degrees combo does work fine, so there's nothing fundamental in that area.
