    just a thought ..............

Have just noted yet another useful article posted as a thread here [where, unfortunately, it will disappear from view once people have stopped commenting on it, only to resurrect when some old-timer drags it in to answer a newbie question]....

Seems a bit ..... wasteful of time/effort somehow?

I mean on the KB home page there is provision for useful articles to be posted under a number of headings - and as far i can see that section is totally unused??

It would be sooooo useful for idiots like me [with very little knowledge] and newbies to have a reference area on this site ...... perhaps, with respect, its something the various moderators could look into? transferring some of those already-posted-in-their-forums articles to the "articles" section on the home page?

i'm sure there are a thousand reasons this is not a good idea and i am about to be told every single one of them ........ but its just a thought - so please don't beat me and lock me in the cellar again

Didn't realise there were such headings. Where are they?

Otherwise it would be a good idea

Yes, a most underused useful section.

One of the things on my todo list. Need to complete the vB3.5 upgrdae first.

Until then the original poster can just cut'n'paste their post into the articles section.
