A couple of years ago I saw a documentary on a serial killer in Iran. He used to take in oprhaned boys, rape them, strangle them, dismember them and then put them in barrels of acid to dissolve. He admitted doing it to over 20 boys, but claimed if it was so wrong, then why had God not stopped him? He said this in court.
He was tried and sentenced under Sharia law..... which mean't he was sentenced to death by strangulation, then to be dismembered and dissolved in a barrel of acid. A punishment to fit the crime..

The OP was about highlighting the hipocracy of Americans, happy to make thousands of tons of gas and chemical weapons to kill millions, yet executing one felon is such a big deal. The simple solution would to abolish executions altogether then they could all regain the moral high ground.
