    Trading cars in

Just a general query. Years ago, there a few motorcycle dealers who traded in both cars and bikes. Are there any dealers still around who deal in both?

In a few months, I might look at getting rid of my 2002 Mitsi and picking up another bike. I've thought about either swapping the mitsi sw for a bike ( probably private ) or trading at a dealer.

    Any advice?

Only one I can think of is Frosty on here, runs Millars Car Centre

Otherwise, the odd ones might, but very few know value in both markets.

Plus 1 to go see frosty first. If he can't help you he should be able to give you a realistic view of your cars real worth.

Most people end up mucking around for ages when they could be out riding. Because they have an unrealistic view of the value if the vehicle they are disposing of

Red Baron has been known to take them. But they won't pay much because all they will do with it is to ship it to a wholesaler.

Best value is always to sell privately first. But that can be a bit of a mare. If you are just after getting rid of your car without too much hassle find a dealer that has a bike you like and work backwards. You can always sell a car on behalf through a yard.

Full disclosure I worked at Millers before Frosty bought it, and I used to work at Red Baron.
