left home on the 15th & headed north, Picton ferry on the 17th crossed over on the big storm

up through Nationl park to shafty's for the night.... cheers guy's

then off up to Koukopakopa two days catching up with friends, then up to Kamo for wedding etc.... & pick up nz tag.... headed south monday stopping in on mom & maha for coffee then Tauronga for two nights... over to Rotovagus to Doc & Goblen's for the night.... just got back from catching our 1st trout using a fly rod & doing it legal

wondered our way through Murupara & lake waikaramoana stopping for lunch (smoked trout) 1/2 way through, then onto Gizzy, then down the coast stopping in Hastings & Masterton, Picton down to CHCH lost camera after a stop was checking along the edge of HW when an old fella calls out have you lost some thing!!! aye a camera me says he gets out & hands me back my camera

top man that & wouldn't take any thing for it, was just happy to be able to give it back, have just arrived in Rotherham (daughters) got to wind up grand daughter before we head home, need to get the bike checked as it looks like clutch is on it's way out, but it will get me home, just need to see what it is going to cost

.... pic's will have to wait till we get home

got off the ferry Monday night & stayed, then north Canty, then headed south, made it home tonight after 4819k's over 19 days great time away, but it sure is nice to be home,
will order a full clutch kit & gear box seals from England later this week, can't grumble at 150k which include 5 dusty butts & other cross country stuff to a rough total of 47k, bit hard on the big bikes with the high gearing
I found the roads up north great & in most cases better than the south,

a big

to the trucker's in the north who pulled over to let us pass every time they saw us behind them or gave a flick on their indicator to let me know it was clear, & the 98% of cage driver's who pulled over as well, to the other 2%

there are a 3 southern trucker's that need to take a lesson from the northern boys... ie: stock truck having shit pouring out the back & not staying left until we're both past when there is room for you to do so & the other two cowboys

... gives other trucker's a bad name
the biker coming to wards us on our side of the road going through the Karangahake gorge because you were going to fast to stay on your side of the road

be thankful we were a bike & not the camper behind us, other wise you were toast numbnuts... apart from that & German tourists, trying to make us a part of their camper van, were the only close calls we had
