John Key has announced he's not going in order to avoid embarrassment when he could be refused admission. More self-serving aggrandisement.
Actually he's announced he's not going due to him not being able to speak on some issues, and threats of violence against his person.

He's hardly going to admit the Maori tribal elders have said he's not welcome and won't be granted admission!

Nonetheless, those are the reasons given for missing it; just as those were the reasons given for Herr Clarke missing them.

Fair 'nuf. I wasn't in NZ at the time so can only go by what research I have done.
Waitangi Day history now suggests differently for Helen Clark. I'd be unsurprised to see it read 'John Key didn't attend because he's a supercilious twat.'

Anyone who wants to see how badly this might end just needs to look at the UK and involvement in the EU (which many people, prime minister excluded it seems, are now trying to get out of) - history is repeating itself. To those who lived through one it is obvious, and immensely frustrating.

Hey I'm probably against the whole TPPA thing too, but people don't need to carry on like completely one eyed fuckwits to get their point across. we fuckin get it, it's not ideal, but for fucks sake, stop rubbing everyone's face in it like a bad dog that did faeces inside. It's not my idea to introduce it so get off your fuckin soap boxes & stop talking to us like we're idiots.
I'm quite capable of being opposed to something without feeling the need to walk the streets with a hand painted cardboard sign around my neck while chanting some kind of mantra.

I am neither for or against the TPPA - how could I be I don't know anything about it - that is the problem - does anyone?

It appears that the signing is simply the beginning now all the participating countries have to go back and sell it to their individual countries?

It is the lack of understanding and the apparent lack of willingness to inform at this stage that is the main reason for contention and suspicion!

Then there are all of those that will oppose just for the sake of opposing - as demonstrated on TV tonight FFS! - Meh - I just don't know anything about it!

    Trouble is no one knows
    Because you didn't stand up
And the fellas in the beehive have no consequences for there actions so why do they care

As I posted before freedom is hard won and easily lost and with it come responsibility

So make a nice job of your sign and think of a catchy chant

True, there is no point in reading it other than to have a clue about what's coming. The only hope is that something else takes the place of the current govt 3 ringed circus and that it shows a rather large middle finger to the whole thing. Same goes for all of the other nonsense emanating from govt inc.

You may look good in red, but it don;t mean a thing if you ain't got that swing.. you got rhythm son?
