    G'day (Kathryn42)

    Hi Guys,
Been a member since December, so I'm a bit overdue for a quick intro.
Fair bit of detail on my profile, but here's the guts of it.
Born 1942, first bike 1962. Had a few since then, and a few gaps off the road for various reasons (job, kids etc. etc.). Had a bike for a few years early in the century (Katana 400) but personal stuff got in the way and had to sell it. Back on two wheels again since December.
I live in the south Wairarapa, so the "Rimmies" are right there for the occasional 'fang'. I ride with Ulysses again; it's kind of 'age appropriate' for me, LOL, although I am younger in heart than this old body that creaks a bit now and again!
Be well y'all... keep the rubber on the bottom and the meaty bits on the top!.

    xo,

    Hi Kathryn

    Welcome to KB

You're the same age as my Mom. She also got her bike license in the sixties, but never owned a bike or rode again afterwards. She only got her license because she was afraid of bikes and wanted to overcome her fear. Wonder if she would still be riding if she had kept going.

How did you get into bikes? I can't imagine it was very common for women to ride in the 60s.
