Is it just me or do others crack up when they hear ( read ) those "FU" letters???

It's like, I'm a GSXR-600 but FU if you think you're getting full power!

I've only ever heard good things about the 750, it's cheaper and will do exceptionally well at anything I will use it for.
Yeah .. I'd go with the 750 - it's supposed to be the Rider's bike .. the 600 is Ok and the thou is just stupid power ... People who've had them all say the 750 is the way to go for true riding ...

If that's where you're riding is at present, the remapping an FU (if that's possible) will give you so much more power that you'll enjoy it for a while without going for the Gixxer ...

Not quite - they are a 650 Bandit frame with GSX forks and a few other goodies .. and yes they are under powered ... running around 40-45 horses I believe .. the 650 Bandit runs around 75/80 horses ... The 1250 is a much heavier bike (and not just because of the bigger engine) ... but running around 120 horses ..

But yes, the GSX650F is NOT a Gixxer ...

    That much?

My bike is supposed to be more or less 100 HP, and last time I was comparing the current bikes - the 1250 was about the same as mine HP wise ... but 50% more torque.

    (But yes - heavier, too).

There is a GSXR600FU on the LAMS list but they've never been brought to NZ.

Suzuki don't give horsepower figures .. that's a figure I've seen on the net somewhere .. I'm not too hung up on horsepower figures - the thing has more power and speed than I've ever used and its frankly scared the shit out of me a couple of times .... I'm open to other suggestions - especially if someone has had theirs tested ... and yeah it has shit loads of torque ...

The figure I saw gave 120 hp at 8,700 revs - fuck me in top at 6thou revs the bikes way into the illegal zone anyway .... I doubt I have seen that sort of revs on mine anywhere above third gear ... and in the lower gears the higher rev range is fucking insane to ride in ... I did red line it in second over a hill - it was passed 130klicks ... I went passed four cars in the blink of an eye ...

Gee I wonder why ??? Who in their right mind would be a 600 Gixxer with only 40 horses ...

Not much point wanting a bike that isn't available in NZ. Better off grabbing an IL4 250 for a few grand and saving the big bucks for the full licence.

The R6 and CBR600 are around the $17-18,000 mark.

I'd presume they are much of a muchness. But that's a massive saving for a new bike!
And now you can get an L5 for that price.

    Hi there

Saw the add today in a magazine, so went to suzuki dealership in Wellington.

He is expecting stock in December, as I definitely want to test ride. Maybe Ill be tempted to ride more often if I have a nice, new bike

Expects them to go very quickly and also stated suzuki did a similar thing with 2011 models, but his will be current model.

First come, first serve, and it seems like a deal you cant really lose on, as price will revert back to $18k once gone.

I was thinking of saving a getting an MT09 next year, but deals like this make it difficult to know what bike to buy!
