    Welcome man.

If you commute and only have the option of one bike, go for a modern single banger 250.

If not, get a pre 93 250. They go much faster, but will require more spanner twisting in the long run than a newer bike (as a rule), which can be a good thing if you're keen to learn some new tricks (or already know some?).

As a n00b who started not long before you that is my 2c (that you didn't even have to ask for) on stepping up. You can go up to 650's now but for the performance vs cost (especially over 600cc) I don't know why you'd bother (unless you're in the late model bracket) as all the fun ones are not LAMS approved

If you have money to burn you should just start buying as many bikes as you can. It's good for the soul and you'll have a lot of fun/learn a lot/feed the addiction along the way.

Yea dont see the appeal in a 650 myself, just if you're big i guess?

I only started around the same time, quite happy to stay on the 250 till my full then get a 600 road bike as a second bike; second as in I'll be having two
    Sticking to the back roads

Hi guys yeah i havent quiet decided what to get for a 250 yet as i bought my wife a hyosung gt250r for her birthday last month so atm im looking at the pro's and cons off newer verse older models but i want something that can handle the motorway easy as the bike im riding now is abit light and slows down on the uphill parts of the motorway ( can be very annoying ).

Am looking at a Suzuki GSX650R when i get my full licsence in about 2yrs though. So will be happily staying on a 250 or whatever i get until then.
