Here's a ' Look at Life ' film on scooters in England back in the 60's.
Can anyone ID the make of scooter in the section on manufacturing and test riding? Starts about 5.50.

Why did all those english bikes start first time on these movie clips? My mates Daytona 500 could be a bitch at times. Occassionaly Chris would take my XS2 home because his would flood. The Daytona had character tho'. Half the clamp bolt threads for the ape hangers were stripped and hard braking meant pulling your elbows and bars back so your weight was below the line from your shoulders and the bar clamp so the bars wouldn't fold forward. Having a seat that just sat on the frame and moved under your arse didn't help.

That bloody tandem thing looked awfully dangerous, wonder why that idea never took off.
For a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him. Keep an open mind, just dont let your brains fall out.
