    2013/2014 Yamaha RD350

So the other month I was blundering across the internet and stumbled into this-

That's right! A new Yamaha rd350, cool two stroke engine encased in all the delishous modern trims of modernity!
So much excite! So very wow!

Then today, I thought to myself, "Huh, I wonder how yamaha are going with their newfangled oldfanged rd350?"

    Then fucking this-

You'll find me in my shed sobbing, and sniffing the castrol r, thats caramelised in the pipes of my rd400.

Snotted a few kleenex meself over similar images of "new" TDR's.

The thought of a 400cc - 600cc, 2014 2t, state of the art, gives me a bigger chubby than wor lass. And she performs better than a 4t. Gold power band!

    T'is but a dream.

Be quick, though, wouldn't it? 2t 350 twin, FI, computer balanced exhaust, prog maps, carbon bits, decent suspension, brakes.... Ooh gawd, more kleenex.
    Manopausal.

The first thing I thought when I saw their 'new' RD350 was: what the fuck is with that pipe? No way would any 2T have an exhaust like that... unless it rev'd to 19,000. So... as cool as the idea is, it's clearly just something someone photochopped together for fun. Also, compared to the old RDs it's ugly as fuck (to me, at least). Sadly, I don't think we'll ever see a new 2T road bike. Look on the bright side, at least you have an RD400 that you can sniff the pipes of!

Tis a shame it won't even get to a mock up so we could see it in the flesh, should be a reverse cylinder TZR250/350 pipes under the seat with EFI make it look a lot tidier.

sole reason the old rds become collectors items-looks like a reinvented r6 to me..........back to the drawing board Yamaha and remake them as they were but use better materials, twin pot brembo etc calipers, stainless vented disc, upgrade the electricals, tweak the mtr etc but keep the style reasonably period correct-none of this 'flashy' crap

Ah Oberdan Bezzi. His images see fame again.

Its funny manufacturers hire him to create images........and use about 0.1% in production.
Actually its pretty sad. His concepts are great.

Here is his concept blog by the way http://motosketches.blogspot.com/
