Round 2 is coming up on the 13th July so time to start thinking about getting your entries sorted. Once again we will be giving away an Arai helmet (retail value $1,000.00) at riders briefing. To be in the draw just enter before normal close of entries (6/7/15).
For the terminally disorganised day licences will be available on the day (MNZ race licances expire 30/6).
Keen to enter clubmans for round two just have a few questions.
Will I have to get a day licence aswell? Or does the entry include that?
In regards to what the bike needs doing, I just have to make sure sump plug, oil fill cap and filter are lock wired correct?
Anything else I should know for my first time?
As dad used to say, never trust the rubber......
Seriously though, yes a day license is ADDITIONAL to entry fee.
If it wasn't those of us with MNZ licenses would be at a financial disadvantage.
Have a look at Chapter 10 of the Rules on www.mnz.co.nz
Basically additional to what you have said make sure your bar ends are pluged, screen can not cut you, brakes have plenty of material, bars turn without fouling anything and turn smoothly.
Also make sure all your breather hoses go into a catch bottle. Make sure this is vented otherwise oil will come out your cam cover gasket!
There are more things I'm sure others will full you in on.
Remember that the silliest question is the one that isn't asked.
Sent from my Nokia using Tapa talk.
What he said...
But make yourself known to me when you arrive (I'll be helping with sign on) and i'll introduce you to some people who can give you a hand.
To late to be in the helmet draw but get your entry in for round 2 by Friday and we'll waive the late entry fee. Weather forecast looks pretty good.

Another great event by the HMCC
Some great racing was had, first time doing an 8 lap " endurance race"![]()
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.
I was there in a spectating and helping in the pit capacity, but saw some really good racing. The changeable weather caused some problems for some - dry around 5 and 6, swimming in 1 and 2 - but as lines appeared the pace rally picked up.
8 laps seemed like a long time after getting used to 6, but I think it was a good thing. A couple of riders I spoke to said that 6 gave them time to settle, but the last two meant they were 'in the groove' better.
Looking forward to next month.
