Jennie and I celebrated 33 years of marraige in July. She's an incredibly tolerant woman and I haven't got too many scars from kitchen utensils being bounced off my head either

Thank-you very much, everyone, and especially Blackbird, who was incredibly hospitable, and let us pick a bottle of wine from his cellar. Actually, the vifferbabe is terrible with numbers (a bit worrying for an accountant...) and it's only 23 years, not 24. However, we've actually been together since March 1978, so it's still a goodly long (and most enjoyable) partnership.

The vifferbabe is terrific - her idea for celebrating our anniversary was to buy New Zealand Motorcycle Atlas by Peter Mitchell, and to do an overnight ride. Peter gives the ride from Howick to Waitakaruru 4 smilies, and the Coromandel loop 5, and he's dead right! The best riding weekend I've ever had! Absolute magic, and because the vifferbabe really enjoyed herself too, it was obviously the right choice.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....
