I am interested in catching up at a Pukekohe test day.

The fast guys size you up pretty quick as they are experienced with the different skill levels and bike types. It is your safety that is important not theirs as they have the responsibility to overtake safely.

Best advice for Puke is to ride within your ability as this circuit can bite hard if not treated with repeat. Also check out the circuit for hazards on the first lap of each session as there are not any marshals to give the all clear. I learned this the hard way when caught in oil dropped by a car in the previous session.

    " controlled test days"......
I took my classic race bike there once for actual testing to find it was a " poor mans track day" ( there is no marshalls or St Johns, just a bloke taking your money and you sign a disclaimer)

Save your money and go to an Art day with Auckland Motorcycle Club or get a Go Pro , go to Puke and post up the vids.

I did however have a bit of schadenfreude when a Ducati 900ss tried to pass me after the hairpin and ran off the track....
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

There was an ambulance on site when i dropped in to look last month.
There was a guy on his GSXR1000 wearing jeans so personal safety is really up to the rider.

There's always been full marshall, tow truck and ambulance on all the testing day (not private track day) that I've been at Pukekohe in the past 2 years.
