I don't believe Clarkson used it to be insulting and think it was a slip of the tongue which I have to confess I have to consciously avoid when using the eny miny moe rhyme. As others have said the person releasing it is the one that should be jumped on!

I see your point but quite frankly I would never call a friend a wanker, dirty whore, bitch, the thought of even uttering "wassup mah bich?" I find totally alien. If a word is insulting, it's insulting no matter who says it; either that or it's not an insulting word at all, only something people want to make an issue of for their own agenda.

To add another spin to it... Why are so many so attached to wanting to use the word nigger? Is there some strange pleasure they get from using a naughty word which will offend a large amount of people? Or are they truly racist and don't want to come out and say they believe black people are inferior so hide behind things like "well my neighbor used to have a black dog called nigger so it is alright to use the word"

I have no desire to introduce the word to my daily vocabulary, nor do I call or describe people as gooks, wogs, chinks, or nagis, if you do maybe you should examine your reasons for wanting to do so?
