Valuation required - who to use?

So a friend of mine was riding his S90 and was hit by a bus from behind. Fortunately he is in good shape (very very very lucky is what the policeman who saw the CCTV footage said). Didn't go under the bus, thankfully.
His insurance company got 2 valuations for his bike which came to $300 and $400 each. This is PRE accident valuation I'm talking about here...

Obviously he's not happy with these values so he's getting his own done (will have to be based on photos etc).
Can anyone recommend a [U]decent[U] company to use who actually knows classic bikes?

    Any recommendations are much appreciated.

So his bike has an average value of $350? How much is the excess?

Don't know that auction houses would work as the insurance company said the valuer has to be registered. Thanks for the tip.

Good point made about claiming straight from bus company insurance! I've asked the question to my friend.
Yea that's right the average value is $350. Not sure what the excess is but likely $200-300. But I'm not sure he has to pay excess as he is not at fault.
