    Dead patch

Hey biker gurus, I have a lil Kawasaki ZZR250 which has what I'd call a 'dead patch' in acceleration at around 4000RPM. I'll open the throttle and it'll wind up to 4k easy enough, then will hesitate for about a second at those revs before continuing to accelerate.
My guess is that it's primary to secondary turbo transistion lag but I could be mistaken...

Does anyone have a theory as to what that might be?

Ever notice that anyone slower than you is an idiot, but anyone going faster is a maniac?
