TV Coverage is more important to my sponsors that spectator attendance

Gate fees suck, its just the family and sponsors of the guys racing that usually show up and have to pay to watch. I think riders should be allocated with 10 passes free. If each rider could get 8 people there then we would have about 1000 spectators and create some atmosphere

yeah then they just give them away to people who would pay at the gate anyway, better way is go to schools and give kids a demo of a bike and free tickets then daddy has to take em along and pay to get in. bit tough for south island nationals as it's school holiday time

we did this for the Pukekohe round of the MX nationals, took Cody Cooper, Ben Townley, and a local kid to the local primary school, worked very well, also got the front page of the local rag because of it,

We used to run a colouring competition through all the local primary schools, prize was tickets etc awarded at a "meet the riders night"( usually the Friday Night ), and Mum n Dad had to take 'em, like you say. Worked well ........
