    I still have two of those!

    Not a fan of the newer molded parts, even less of the stickers. My desk here at work looks like some sort of Technic convention. Racing Lego IR Monster Trucks beats working.

    When I was about 9 there was a myth that with a brand new set of batteries & a long flat section as a propeller, you could just get the motor to hover. (prop angle & downforce were not in our vocabury clearly).

    No one had a brand new set of batteries so it was hard to debunk, but it was a cool thought. Like xray specs & sea monkeys.
    Oh hell yes! We did the lego technics thing at school (I guess one of the future evolutions of that) where you could program them to bowl around the room and make left or right turns after bumping into or detection things, depending what bits you had.
    Pretty sure lego spawned the seed for all that robot wars stuff from the technics kits and kids in the classroom.
