When I first saw the Bullitt in pictures I was a bit sceptical of it, but having seen them in the flesh I'm quite impressed, even if it's probably not my sort of helmet. Might be kind of cool to have one for riding my old CBX though....
P.S. Don't worry about the date of the thread....it's retro! [/QUOTE]

cs363, you have a cbx 1000 ? Lucky boy.I was given one for an hour in 1978,was the local Demo. Quite memorable, just like my first go on a cb750 in about 68 !!!
    I'm retro too !!!!

You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.
If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..

Yeah, had a new one back in the day so this is reliving my misspent youf
This time around though I got the A model (1980) not quite as fast top end but more mid range and better handling with the beefier swingarm with actual bearings rather than the nylon bushes of the Z model. Not everyone's cup of tea but a nice rideable classic that you can have a bit of fun on whilst still retaining some value.
I keep thinking I might sell it, then I take it for a ride on a nice sunny day and that thought goes out the window!

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? ...He's a mile away and you've got his shoes

Here's two helmets separated by 50 years. First generation full face and a Biltwell Gringo. The Biltwell has a DOT rating but is only half the quality of the Bell Bullit that I featured in this old thread.
