Thumbs up Greetings from a new Auckland member (ShAdOwDrAgOnS)

Hey guys, great to be part of the KB group.

I've been riding for about 3 and a bit years now. Got my Honda CBR 600RR a year and a half ago and been having an absolute blast.

I've been riding occasionally with a mate from work but I’m mainly get out on my bike on solo rides almost every weekend covering a minimum of 200km on a short ride either north or south of Auckland depending on which way the wind blows me. I explore new back roads as well as ride around the popular well known roads that we all love. I've been averaging about 14 000km per year on my bikes and that’s 95% weekend riding when I’m not overseas for work.

I've done a few group rides when doing the Coro loop and mangawai heads. I ride at a decent pace but i don't push my bike to the absolute limit. I always keep a little bit reserved for those decreasing radius corners.

Did the ride for life course at Hampton downs, and it was a blast. It's nice to ride in a controlled environment where you can experiment a bit and find unknown limits of what your bike can actually do. I’m keen on doing a few track days in the near future. Gonna buy some leather pants that zip to my jacket before.

I'm always keen for a ride. I mainly ride when the weather is nice, but if i haven't been out on the bike for more than a week I’ll go riding in any weather and even on night rides. When i first started riding on my learners and restricted i rode my bike everywhere in any weather. I have to admit it was the best way to gain experience on a motorcycle.

Anyway, keen to make some new riding friends who have a similar pace or go to track days with ;p
    Always keen for a ride!

Hey mate, welcome to KB. In the market for a supersport myself at the moment.

I'd be keen for a ride but not sure if I could keep up on the 250.

Nice, have you taken any supersports for a test ride yet? I'm a bit of a Honda Fan. I started on a honda 2009 CBR 125. I've rented a honda 250 CB hornet. I guess it was really a no brainer that i loved the CBR 600 RR when i took it for a test ride.

My mate that i normally ride with use to have a the honda 1000 VTR and has since upgraded to the CBR 1000RR. We have a very similar pace but i find that on long rides on the twisties i start to pull away from him probably because the 600 is a little bit nimbler in the corners.

I don't mind cruising at a slower pace if you are on a 250. I occasionally ride with a couple of mates who have 250's and a 300cc.
I just let them set the pace, but if i know where we are going i'll occasionally shoot out the front and wait for them at turnoff points or slow down until i can see them in my mirrors again.

Like i always tell them as well, don't feel pressured to try and go faster to keep up. Just ride at your normal pace where you feel comfortable.

    Anyway, let me know.

PS I’m currently overseas for work, due back in Auckland around the 20th of May. So hit me up after then.
    Always keen for a ride!
