The Germans had Western Samoa as a colony between roughly 1900 and 1914. While they appeared to be Greeks bearing gifts with the construction of buildings and infrastructure being put in place they were in fact channeling all of the fat from new industry back to the Fatherland. So a benevolent occupier is not really an apt term for their occupation during this period.
After they came second in WW1 the colony was confiscated from them and given to NZ ( Silly us! )

Now Hone has of course like most voiciferous part Maoris / Albino Maoris / Maoris for economic convenience got something to constantly say about the history that has been conveniently rewritten ( and other parts overlooked ) to justify their never ending grievance top ups, ad infinitum.

Does he know anything about German history in the South Pacific as I have briefly articulated above? If not he should get on the case and start making representations to Bonn on behalf of his ethnic cousins....and renounce his brazen hypocrisy by ditching the fat Hun and his dirty money.

I'd really like to just laugh at this, but our court system realises Kims assets and the Yankie film makers jump in and try and cut off the money supply by attempting to freeze his assets, f##kin parasites that they are. I don't think Britain comes out of the colonisation era perfectly lilly-white either. Colonisation was what it was - grabbing resources where-ever they may be for the benefit of the coloniser. Italy tried to create an empire in Ethiopia, Belgium had a go in the Congo, Spain and Portugal divied up South America between them, France was all over south east asia, the Dutch buggered up Indonesia and of course Britain had most of what was left. Virtually every country that was colonised in this way ended up being exploited for the "home" country - I don't think Germany was unique in what it did with Samoa.

None of the above has anything to do with the Internet-Mana alliance but it's a bit steep blaming KDC for what happened 100 odd years ago.

Granted that no colonial history is clean, but my post was to highlight hypocrisy. Equally its a bit steep to blame contemporary European New Zealanders for what happened here 100 or more years ago. Its equally steep to blame ( part European ) Horrendous Harawira for the same thing. Or that his cannibalistic predecessors largely ate out of existence the peoples that preceded them here. Where is their compensation?
