Shitting in the bed that keeps you warm

Well done to MNZ for starting to act as a proffessional whole saler and selling motorcycle clothing-- O WEIGHT A MINUTE--- is that not what the importers do as a way of making some money to pay wages and give great discounts for people to go racing to make MNZ some money. Who is the fuk tard that created this crap piece of business.

All importers should be writing and complaining loudly to the organisation that they support big time, imagine if ALL the tyre discounts etc just dissaparred

add the retailers into the equation as well, they did the same 4 years ago with a helmet brand from australia,

MNZ and its board has big communication problems with its members, the new employee's role and job discription has not been made available, nor his KPI's, so we will come to our own conclusions, and he will not have a chance to meet those as he has no idea what they are,

MNZ needs to communicate better with its members, here is an example how it can be done well,

Speedway NZ is fairly similar to MNZ (in fact they were part of NZACU until the late 80's) here is their CEO going on a public forum like this one, answering questions from all comers, not everyone got the answer they wanted, but he explained everything to why it was done, making the whole thing look transparent,

    http://macgor.proboards.com/thread/3...-nz-ceo-ask-me

i still think MNZ and some of its board members still believe the internet and forums are bad, they don't have to to be,

Hopefully the new board members will bring in some much needed change in this area, (also look on www.speedway.co.nz for the monthly board meeting information bulletins, these also would be a great addition to MNZ)

unfortunately there are 2 more people that need to go from any position involved with MNZ, and that should start with any off them that has a financuall interest in there private lives, ie small parts importers

    Absolutely on the money Scott,

The one thing I always made sure I did when commissioner was to answer every email or return every call from any member and as you say,They didn't always get the answer they wanted,Problem was I struggled to get the information myself from further up the foodchain,I couldn't tell you how many times I forwarded on complaints from members in the area of safety and the poor stewarding going on around the country asking for action to be taken,That I have never had a reply to.A classic example was the Perriton appeal hearing,As roadrace commissioner AND the technical steward who performed the necessary checks in the South Island,I have yet to receive ANY official correspondence as to the outcome or ANY explanation how the committee came to the decision they did,Despite being informed before the process began,That it was going to be VERY transparent,EPIC FAIL!!!!

HOPEFULLY the new board members can turn this around,I have had discussions with some of them over the past week and have been asked to forward a report to the new RR commissioner.I will contact him over the weekend to see if thats what he requires before wasting my time,Although I've had a brief meeting with him and I know he understands who the problem people are.

The provision for the GB meeting minutes to be on the website is already in the MNZ constitution.....

6.4.2 The GB shall conduct itself as transparently as possible. Full minutes of the proceedings of each meeting shall be kept and available to Full members upon request, however, the GB shall decline to make publicly available any commercially sensitive material or material that affects the privacy of a particular individual, including employment matters unless authorised to do so in writing by all affected parties. The GB may, at its sole discretion, authorise the minutes, or any parts thereof, to be published on the MNZ website.

Just get some members to request it.......
    Oh wait.....

You're a huge loss to MNZ Billy. If the whole joint was frequented by peeps like yourself it'd be all good.

came on email to me, i see the orignal post on the website has been ammended as well,

    email below

We have recently forwarded to all members a newsletter introducing our new staff member and one member benefit, the start of what we hope will be many!

It seems that this members benefit has caused some offence and dissention amongst members and other parties; please be assured that this was never the intention. It is not MNZ’s intention to become a retailer of any product, in this particular case we were the “middle man” to ensure that you also received free postage.

With the information that was sent out, it was in no way an intention to be critical of any other supplier or product, nor was it meant to suggest that other products on the market are inferior products.

We are trying to provide to our members benefits to enhance our membership, if you have ideas of what types of benefits as a member you would like to receive please ensure you contact or email Craig to discuss the possibility of the benefit with him.
