Bruce Anstey officially the fastest man around IOMTT course

...first to ever break a 132mph lap - setting a new record of 132.298mph.

Finished 4th in the superbikes event after an issue end of lap 1. Race won by Michael Dunlop.

As Guy Martin said of the Bruce's record post race "fair play old boy".

    Brilliant!

Don't overlook the contribution that Michael Dunlop made, including breaking the outright lap record twice (before Bruce went faster still).

Dunlop's first new lap record came from a standing start...

The fact that Bruce is based overseas should tell you all you need to know

When he was living here and raced here I doubt that sport NZ or whatever they are called even knew he existed

Is the money from Sport NZ (or whatever) not supposed to go to people who compete overseas?
If they use it here to train and then compete overseas for medals/glory/success, shouldn't that include others living out of NZ who compete on the world stage too???
Is it still beastiality if ya fuck a frozen chicken??

since it is not a world championship i doubt sport NZ would be interested, outside of the olympics its all they are interested in,

Motorcycle racers have got targeted funding from Sport NZ in the past, (Katherine Prumm and the MXdN team have got funding that i know of, and there maybe some more that i don't)

No Proffessional of any sport should recieve any funding, they are proffessionals and make a living from there chosen sport.

Non Proffessionals representing there country in sport that includes teams of fellow countrymen should recieve this I think

Commonwealth Games and Olympics are the main focus, although Lydia Ko was getting handsome amounts of funding. I'd like to think rugby and cricket don't apply for or get funding, but I'd probably be disappointed.

It'd be interesting to know if our MotoX world champions got support at the time?
There is a grey blur, and a green blur. I try to stay on the grey one. - Joey Dunlop
