It's proving quite hard to find an NC30 with any kind of service history, or anything approaching original bodywork.
    Maybe I'm being too fussy...

Still looking, money is burning a hole in my pocket, I need to spend it!
make me an offer for my NC30 and the shedful of parts I have inculding a frame with tags and plate and rego on hold. BYO spanners. I have no original bodywork.

Hmm, the complete bike is a track bike right? Does it still have charging system and wiring for lights etc? Would it pretty much be a case of moving everything to the new frame, and finding some lights and bodywork?
How many KMs has the engine done? How long has it been a track bike?

Ooo parts...vinzor if you buy the lot you are a darn lot closer than hdc is to me ;-) haha. Any pics hdc? Is it a completely track bike with no road gear? I thought it was a road bike...service stuff?

I got all my bodywork though yahoo japan and just fairings (the secondhand tail)...was a mission but do able again :-)

Ah yep, it might be a bit much work for what I'm after. I need a bike as my primary mode of transportation, so a project probably isn't ideal for my situation!

Ah ok cool, I've asked for some more details on it. In the ad he says he wants 6k for it
Hopefully this is just an upper figure he's throwing out there.

Lol tel him he's dreaming! There was a bike at 6k on Tm that sat there for 2-3 years and that had oem fairings. Chinese ones cost 4-500$ delivered, oem new are 500-1k per panel if you can get them, or spend 6 months searching japan to get a complete set of second hand ones...id offer 3k max, and only if it has a service history, charges well and consumables are all good.

Yeah I remember that one, it had the reddish orange rim tape right? I think I saw that one up quite recently, wonder if it eventually sold..
I am hoping to spend 3 - 3.5k for a decent NC30, but the only one I have found that might fit the bill (that one with the Tyga tail), sold before I could get up to Auckland to check it out.

When i wasn't looking to buy I'd browse trademe and always see a few for sale, and I tracked down a minter for a mate for 3.3k a few years back, but now that it's my turn there's nothing!

Hey http://www.trademe.co.nz/747021965 this one sounds exactly what you want. Luke Millar is on here in the vfr forum too, knows his vfr stuff. Low km's, beautiful bodywork...
