yeah but those straights around foxton are just begging to be opened up on just to get them out of the way, i'm guessing the plod still patrol them on a regular basis

They seem to still like that area under the pine trees to sit, waiting to pounce. There is small area that has nasty wind gusts at times, from memory it had a wind sock sign that you saw just as the gust threw you sideways.

yeah traveled those roads quite a bit when a tad younger than what i am now, lived in the naki for a couple of years and would travel to nelson to visit me dear old dad.

did spend the odd misspent weekend in wanganui as well.
did happen to go to the pigpen, have no idea if that place still exists but you know a place is rough when the leaners and stools are concrete and they only served in plastic jugs and plastic handles. ahhhh them were the day's

Lol, The Pigpen was aptly named, still a watering hole but nothing like the old days. in the 70s we used to sit there supping a bit of ale whilst deciding if the tree over the road was moving too much in the breeze to go fishing, The more jugs the more the tree appeared to move, Luckily the trawler skippers were all fond of a pint or 20
