I'm a reluctant Manger but it was either step up or have some Uni know nothing paper Engineer telling me what to do and me doing all the work anyway.
I like guys over 50 as they know a lot have seen all the corporate buzzword bullshit come and go, turn up for work everyday and rarely take sickies or complain.

The guys over 50 approach works. Mind you, in our specialized game hands on practical nous backed by years of experience wins, even in the eyes of younger leadership. Quite refreshing

Some stats came out last week at work about 'Diversity'. Baby Boomers make up 15% of the staff. millennials are 51%
As much as I like working on the tools, prefer to keep it just to in the shed these days.
I remember carrying an A/C unit across a roof once and the Apprentice could not resist the message sound on his phone and put his end down....

Every time I hear complaints from mine about absolutely anything whatsoever I make it a point to blame the homework they didn't do.

Can't afford to replace the car? Homework would've meant more money.

Boss is an idiot? Homework would've made YOU the boss.

Bleat about the cost of groceries? Homework woulda fixed that.

Bloody tree fell down and...... Homework.

They're remarkably quiet nowadays. I can tell when they're about to bitch about something, the mouth opens, they look at me and decide it's not worth it, mouth closes.
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon

Two business names annoyed me today.

"All Pass driving school" and "We Care finance"

All Pass - if that's your attitude its fucked as not everyone has the reaction time or fine motor skills to drive, so fail the shit ones please, don't keep retesting them till they get it right like they did with a few of my friends.

We Care Finance - No ya fuckin don't, if you did you wouldn't need to state it in ya business name. Bet you only care when they miss payments on the high interest loans you gave em so they can buy a shitter car.

    Rant away KBers

Have you inquired at their office or googled their website (I assume they have one) as to their (actual) policy content/wording ... ???

And ... if this is your biggest rant issue ... ???

We posted a job two weeks ago and got 3 CV's.
Clearly 70K does not attract much interest these days.
    I have a millennial starting....should be interesting.

    Facilities Management.

I've pinched one of Head Office staff who showed an interest in Facilities and applied for the job.

I'm interested in positive attitude and can do ability, the rest I can do with on the job training and mentoring.
