Ive narrowed my shopping list to the following:
    - Harley sportster xr1200
    - MV Agusta Brutale
    - Ducati Diavel
An interesting selection. It's not immediately apparent whether those are your track or your off road choices though?

It's pretty obvious. He is scared of riding on the road.

Well, it’s rather apparent that my bike selection is not suitable for off-road.

    Any feedback/thoughts on these bikes?

    For off-road I will for for a 125/150 2 stroke, haven’t properly looked yet.

The XR1200 is Harleys only foray into a sporty bike. You will not be whelmed, compared to the other two. It will be the same weight as the Drivel but considerably less power.

Thanks dangerous, assuming Bonez has ridden for many years - he should know better.

I’m assuming he’s lost mates to the road too.

Sorry to hear that, seems to be all too common for riders to attend mates funerals.

I have also shared similar unfortunate experiences.
Hence why I’ve been put off.

So I don’t think there’s anything pussy about riding on the track - I want to ride fast but not put others lives in danger (heavily minimise at least).

And cagers just don’t see bikes anymore - you can do anything and everything but you can’t stop an idiot behind a 1.5ton piece of metal.

I want to mix it up in between track with some dirt bike or private road fun.

    .
I just did a 160km ride. On a '89 XF650 with 90,000kms up no less. No electronic riding aids. Fuck all traffic. wet, cold , two pair of socks, wearing jeans with a set of jammy pants under them. horse riding boots, old leather jacket, Bumble Bee top over the jacket and pair of summer weight leather gloves and didn't kill myself...

    Life is too short

Stop wining and get out fucken riding.... beep..beep.

Any day on a motorcycle is a good day

How desperate for attention are you? Name dropping a chess player on a biker forum.

And intellect only overcomes when applied. Bias and ignorance thwart it all the time.

    lol!
I know and have known a few truly intelligent people. Truly intelligent people never crap on about how intelligent they are. Never.
But I have met a few people who do crap on about how intelligent they are. Guess what? Confusing intelligence with arrogance.
