Sometimes seems to be in fucking short supply eh?

Still, the odd unpolished gem turns up from time to time, it's just a pity that the only attribute of any real value in any employee is quite so uncommon.

Correct. You have to stop in such a position as to be able to see that the way is clear. Sometimes that is even forward (over) the yellow line.

Ride-on specific I presume. As opposed to a powered push mower.

What do ride-on lawn mower accidents get recorded under with ACC?

Had a corker on the plane this evening when we arrived back in Wellington. It didn't help his case that he appeared to be tanked up and with a TV crew-sized video camera which made me dislike him instantly...

As we're waiting to alight the aircraft (With me in my biking gear as my DR was waiting for me in the car park) he calls out to me in front of all and sundry 'What's up mate - Your bike breakdown or something' cue sniggers from him and his 'Mates'.

Me: Ah yes, there's always one.

Him: Uh. Simple question. Stupid answer.

    Me: Just F off mate.

    Him: Yeah, back to England.

It seems prejudice is alive and well even here in NZ. What a shame - One of the reasons for leaving the UK was to get away from prats like him. It seems I can't escape...

    You simply can't escape fuckwittery.
Rural village, dry as a witches tit, temps today in mid 20's, volunteer fire bigade, and we get a twat with fireworks....
    Lucky the wind had dropped.

Went to town with the wife today. Walking slowly into Kmart Riccarton and realised I was being attacked by a large pacific island woman with a trolley...
Stopped and turned around and gave her the look. She backed off slowly....wouldn't make eye contact, LOL. Pity, I had some choice things lined up to say.

Yep - What's more concerning for me is that normally I simply ignore such idiocy. The fact that I responded is what makes me annoyed.

Plus that's the first time I've experienced such blatant prejudice here in NZ - We've been here a little over 3 years now so long enough to have seen/heard it if it were rife. Thankfully it isn't.

On the plus side the weather was ruddy lovely today. I managed a spin on a couple of the stable and enjoyed it rather a lot

are you sure about that, the only reference i can find to age limit for operating a ride on at home is a reference to the American pediatrics which recommends 16.
if he was doing it commercially then he is not allowed to operate machinery under age 15 but as far as i am aware there is no law in NZ. if anyone wants to prove me wrong post a link to the law or worksafe SWI document. I would be interested in reading that one.
and No, Paying one of your own dependents pocket money for doing chores is not considered commercial activity, paying a neighbours kid to mow your lawns could be.

if you have a pressure switch still hooked up on your ride on seat then there really is bugger all that can go wrong unless they are mowing the hill paddock with it.

a 12yr old can still drive a tractor on a farm

There is potential to be prosecuted for endangerment or neglect, if the manufacturer of the ride on specifies an age restriction.
Other than that, let him at it.

    Highly likely - why?

    1. Americans like to sue Americans - shag the neighbor and her fu-fu is a bit sore the next day it is likely she will sue you for loss of function, lost wages (had to take the day off as she struggled to walk) etc etc

    2. Americans.

    3. Fuck-tard inbreeds (potentially Americans again) - these morons just do stupid things, thus the government must set rules/laws to cater for their lowest common denominator (as in the fuck-tard).

Yet turn 14 they can not only be home alone but they can also be said supervision... straight from "not responsible enough to be home alone" to "here be responsible for these kids"
