06 ktm 450xc to 2008 KTM 250 XCF suspension differences

What's up guys, I'm new here, I purchased a 06 ktm 450xc I'm 5'9 on a good day. I had suspension work done and lowered 1.5 in, the ride is great height is much better but it's pretty heavy. I came across a 2008 KTM 250 XCF street legal plated here in California, and was thinking about buying it , but I don't want to throw away the money I spent on the suspension already. I know obviously the 450 is heavier , I tried to cross reference part numbers and it seems as though the fork tubes part numbers are the same. With the suspension I purchased revalves are free, will the 450 suspension swap to the 250? Might sound like a stupid question but all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Ryan. Napa California

The 06 and 08 have different frames and the shocks have different spring rates and valving , other then this the forks and wheels/brakes are the same.
The 08 has a feeling of sitting on the bike the seat/tank is a lot flatter when compared to a 06 design which has a sit in feel and a softer riding chassis.
Best to try for feel/size , a 08 250 can be up graded with a 300 kit for more go.
