Have you looked at this thread for this Saturday?: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=16467

It's a bit more closer to home if that helps.

Racing is just as expensive as it is fun. It doesn't always have to be though, cause you can always get a bucket (small 100cc home built racer) and have just as much fun as racing in the bigger classes. If you are thinking about it, definetly give it a go!
Sweet thanks, I wouldn't be able to make it this weekend, but I'll keep an eye on that section

    Cool

Placidfemme - I dont care how much it costs, you get your tush to your Doctor ASAP and get Blood tests done... you hear me girl......

You are wasting away.... and that is NOT healthy.

Hell's teeth here I am trying to loose weight and it aint a happening...
and you are loosing it no sweat.

If you keep on loosing weight like that, soon you won't have the energy to ride your bike or any other activities *wink wink*.

I am deadly serious about this... go and make a appointment to see your doctor right NOW.... go on...git.
Now you don't want me to personally come over there to your work and drag you off to the doctors now do you??????
    *your responce back*
No I didnt think so..... so pick up the ph NOW and make that appointment.

Blood tests may show up why you are loosing all this weight.
Demand a full blood test from your doctor.....

As to what foods to increase the weight... pies, fish n chips, pies, fish n chips oh and more pies... and lots of coke cola.

The most I've ever weighed is 48kg's and now I'm down to a pityful 41kg's which is the lowest I've been in about 6 years...

I'm much like my father in the sense that we're both skinny critters, and I've always had a problem putting on weight and then keeping it on...

    Any tips or suggestions?
Some people are naturally skinny and always will be, you just gotta learn to love that body. There are people who can eat and eat and eat, but still not really gain any weight. I've been told I'm small but damn girl your tiny!!!!!

Do take into account though that your bones may not be very dense which could result in the lack of body weight all up. *is fairly big boned* so thats where I make up for most of my body weight.

I think more than a few people are right though when they tell you to visit your GP asap. Mum weighed about 45-46kg at one stage, dad just about shit himself so I can only imagine how your feeling weighing in at that much.

seeing a GP, and having this looked into further would do you the world of good. You could be perfectly healthy but its best to find out if anything else could be going on.

I have heard something about people with a metabolism that is too fast, which can cause a constant decrease in weight. This can be controlled by medication? I'm not sure where I read it but someone please correct me if I'm wrong..

    Lightbulb

    I've got it! The answer!

Borrow some body parts from someone who's trying to lose weight. Between the two of you, you should be able to achieve a happy balance.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

how about sit around on yo ass ranting on KB, using it as some form of surrogate counselling/affirmation, to the tune of at least 7 posts per day.

Oh, hang on, you're already doing that....another strategy needed for weight gain p'haps.
Tha Jandal: Adding another dimension to "rubber side down"

Jandal [jan-duhl] noun: a mythical entity presiding over bikers
Jandal [jan-duhl] verb: "to jandal" is to involuntarily separate from one's boik.
Jandalled [jan-duhlled] past tense - usage: "bro, I've just gone and jandalled it"

    start taking steroids,
    inject shitloads of it.
    good for ya.

seriously though you need 2 gms of protein per kg of boby weight just to maintain muscle mass.
the easy foods you say you eat are so rdfined that they wont do jack ass to your weight issue,
go see the doc for tests.
carbohydrates will put on weight but the carbs you dont use are converted to fat for future energy use.
protein is the building blocks for muscle eat plenty of protein rich foods and make sure your amino acids levels are all good. because if they arent you may put on weight but it will be in the form of fatty tissue not muscle which is far more dense and weighs lot more.

Depends how it's cooked. Boiled up it is like very dense potato, very plain and starchy, but quite edible. (add yr favourite sauce)
Baked in coconut cream with paw paws it is really nice, especially if its done in a traditional earth oven and wrapped in coconut leaves. (But I have made it in a conventional oven - pm me if you want more info)
Most Polynesians I know swear by its health and strength giving properties (and none of the ones I know are wasting away...)

But I agree with the others advice - get a medical checkup first to eliminate any other factors.
