As for putting on weight, i didn't read all the posts, but i was 84kg then i crashed and spent two months at home with 2 broken hands, the only physcial thing i did was trying to pull my bike apart and fix it again (hard with two busted hands) did a bit of KBing, downloaded shit loads of stunt videos and played battlefeild (again hard with bung hands), i didn't go outside for weeks.
Somehow in the midst i ended up at 101kg in that time, fuckknows how that happened but i tell ya it was more expensive than crashing the damn bike as i didn't fit any of me clothes, er let alone my leathers. A fair few pies may have accounted for some of this gain, but am unsure.

This may have been mentioned, but in order to gain weight you must have a calorie surplus at the end of the day. The inverse of this, to lose weight, is to have a calorie deficiet (SP).

Don't do what my ex flat mate did to put on weight and simply increase your intake of junk food. All that will do is up your colesterol, and possibly bad fats, shortening your life span and making you feel like crap.

Also, you may be one of those people who stores fat internally, visceral fat, which basically attaches itself to internal organs in your body. This is the most dangerous type of fat. So you may be storing fat, but not visibily. Typically I recall that this isn't usually a problem for women, as most store fat on the butt/thighs. Subcutaneous fat is that which is just below the skin, what would be removed with liposuction.

It would be hyprocritical of me to say just be happy with the body you have, so here is a link to a good source of information on weight gain.

    http://forums.1fast400.com/?showtopic=5695

    An extract:

    Carb sources:

    Oatmeal(not instant)
    Yams
    Sweet potatoes
    Brown rice
    Whole grain bread/wraps
    Steamed/grilled vegetables
"Healthy" Fibrous cereals ( Fiber One, granola(low sugar) Smart Start, Uncle Sams)

    Fat sources:

Nuts( preferably Raw almonds, walnuts, cashews etc…)
    Flax seeds/ Flax seed oil
    Fish oil caps
Natural peanut butter(Don’t make it a staple fat though)
    Olive Oil
Fats from animals(again not as a staple

To find out how many calories you should be getting...

Take your current body weight or a realistic body weight goal (Up or Down), and multiply it by your desired factor (either 12, 15, or 18). If you want to lose weight or have a slower metabolism, multiply your weight by 12. For maintaining your current weight, multiply your weight by 15. And for hardgainers or those looking to gain weight, multiply your weight or desired weight by 18. This is a starting point for figuring out your daily caloric needs. (Example: Male who is 200lbs x 15 = 3000 calories per day, Female wh is 130 lbs x 15 = 1950 calories per day). You may need to adjust your caloric need by 50 - 100 calories per day should you stagnate and not be achieving your desired goals. This formula also works as a nice starting point for a bodybuilder looking to figure out the different caloric needs over the course of a year.

Also, the time of day you eat carbs will affect weight gain. Eating carbs < 1 hour before you goto sleep will gaurantee weight gain. Your metabolism slows when you're asleep, so those carbs won't be processed in the same way if if you're awake and doing stuff, they'll just about all get stored as fat.

Also, alcohol blocks the processing of fat until it's all been removed from your system. So it's a double hitter, the high amount of sugars and the fact it stops fat being burned mean you'll have no trouble putting on weight while having a good time :

However be wary, as you get older your metabolism slows, making weight gain easier, and making weight loss inversely harder...

I'll leave you with that thought.

    Aaron.

I'm sure I've posted on this before- can't be arsed looking tho. My findings- please note that while I am naturally thin I am not super skinny. My doctor also believes I'm not entirely human...

If I eat loads of fat I LOOSE weight. Something to do with it being too hard to digest- more energy is expended digesting than what you gain.

If I eat dairy I end up in all sorts of trouble, mind you thats just me I guess- you know how they used to 'draw and quarter' criminals? Well I've been drawn So while this has left me insides in a bit of a tangled mess, the thing that dairy products starts off could well be happening to you. It's possible to have a mild form of lactose intolerance- what happens is the surface area of your digestive system becomes greatly reduced. So you can't absorb as much nutrients. A classic sign of this is mysterious weight loss and SMELLY farts

Eat more protien. Kind of tricky if you can't have a traditional fried brekky cause of the fat, and when nearly all protien supplements are dairy based. Bren-chch put me on to a soy based protein supplement- Soy Protein Isolate by Metaphysics. For the last two months I've been having some with my brekky. The results have been quite amazing- it would appear that my body was crying out for usable protein. Maybe yours is too?

Eat regular meals, it balances your insulin levels, and allows the body's metabolism to function as it was meant to.

Dont wait to eat, have small regular meals, and try to get the frequency up to 3 a day minimum. Your real danger is going too far the other way, which is why I would steer clear of the fatty foods, they will just clog up ya liver, and make you feel poos.

Still excercise, its all part of the process.
