Righto, time for an update.
The Club Bike is a little bit too slow and rather average.
So i have brought a 150 kit for it, and will chuck a new carb on it.
Hopefully it might crack the 10hp mark on our dyno.
Will also look at making it slightly better ergonomically, more inline with a normal bucket racer.
Higher footpegs, lower handlebars - that'll be about it, then she will be sweet to hopefully be capable of winning B-grade.
Thus newbies have zero excuses
.
On more postive news.
The club bike so far has brung new people into our sport. I will keep a tally just for the hell of it.
-Scott Patterson - has brought angus old FXR150 and is now racing.
-Joseph Bailey - has brought a FXR150 and is the final process of getting it race ready.
-Thea Thach - Has now brought a FXR150 the very next day!
-James Calvert - is now on the hunt for a bucket - if anyone knows of one available prefer FXR150. Let us know.
So if anyone of your mates wants to have a go still. Get them to hit me up - it is turning out to be quite a postive way to get people into our sport. There isn't many people who start buckets each year and occasionally people stop, so we need to keep things turning over to maintain good grid sizes
Thank you's for Donations to Club bike :
-Angus for the FXR frame and wheels.
-Me for buying the engine
-Glen for his labour helping me out
