There used to be one came up to kumeu show every year I went.
Either a light chocolate or a golden brown. Sparkled in the right light. Looked stock overcast or dark.
Only giveaway at first glance was the leather rally style bucket seats. Almost a Recaro. And dual exhausts, mustang gt style.
Look underneath and it's a different story. All updated suspension. Wider back wheels but the axles trimmed so they lined up with the front.
Giving the appearance they were stock. Can't remember spec but a gorgeous V8 under the hood. Might have had a side mounted supercharger or I might be mixing up a couple of cars.
Sounded really passive and commuter until the magic number revs wise then it was all dragon.
Owner seemed to get a kick out of people wondering what was so special and seemed to delight in telling how most green light jockeys get the fright o their lives.
Last went to kumeu show in 08.

It took me a while to work out what you were talking about.
I have no clue bruv, have not checked it out that thoroughly. I just pulled them off the capri including the manifold and left them in storage. if you are keen let me know. these are in pretty good condition, Nice and shiny too
If you could find sizes and model numbers for me, and possibly pics, I may have someone interested Have you still got the pinto too? If so, I may be interested if the block has 205 cast on to it on each side.

The pinto is still in the car. Mated to a sierra 5 speed box. Both motor and box will be up for sale in the next couple months and also the carbs will be looked at tomorrow for you man

Seems to have a bigger cam than standard. Thats as far as I can see really. Was so chaotic at the shop today so I didnt have time to take any pics but hopefully tomorrow mate.
