When a class doesn't even have a championship it's more than "a glitch"

Good on Greg Percival and also with the support of Ian Dawson in starting a process that allows comment from at least those interested parties that use / frequent internet resource sites.
Greg is a new commissioner this year, and he also is joined by a fresh faced mnz board of which four out of seven positions are "new to the job".
What does this give us as riders ? - An opportunity to be heard, An opportunity for improved communication and transparency, and an opportunity for riders to get involved and become pro-active for the sport as a whole (and in my mind at least that includes sidecars)

    Keeping in mind:
The bulk of the board are motorcyclists either current or retired
The board is voted in by individual members
No board member is paid - All volunteer their time
No commissioners are paid, - All volunteer their time (the various commissioners run each code of the sport)
The same applies right through the organization of MNZ - essentially a bunch of volunteers wanting to be part of the sport as a whole and "do their bit"

Hopefully improved transparency, and sharing of information (like Gregs blog incentive etc), - will in time help riders also understand how the structure of MNZ works.

    Heres my take on it:
Individual members form Clubs & Associations and therefore as a group "own their club", Affiliated clubs effectively "own MNZ" as an entity, MNZ via its constitution reports back to individual members and their clubs. Its one big circle the members ARE mnz, And MNZ is run by members.

Members are empowered to "have their say" to MNZ - And there is a clear process for that to happen via the commissioners. If they feel as though they are not being heard - then they can raise any matters through their club and request their club to present them for discussion and response at the highest level.

If at the end of it all you as a member feel disenfranchised - then take the time to turn up at the AGM and make yourself heard or make sure you make you vote count when election time comes around.
