While watching the training run on news tonight I wondered about the point of it all.
So lets say a 'hostile' sub did show up in NZ waters from one of the following countries, just which ones could we bomb their sub without getting bushwacked afterwards???
Especially if you factor in other countries treaties and alliances etc...
Have deleted obvious permanent friendly nations from the list. Feel free to sidetrack rants about skyhawks etc... ;p

Quite a few yanks "Looked after" a few (quite a few) Kiwi girls when they were stationed here in NZ ... prior to their shipping out to the Pacific war zone.
