Amazing economy

Thought you all may be interested in this.

My wife and I just got back from taking the NZ250 and VTR250 (Yank-spec VT-FG) down to Christchurch and back.
Wasn't a super-quick trip just averaging 100km/h with occasional bursts at 120. Had a set of throw-overs on the NZ and a pack on the packracked VTR.

We got back and worked out that the VTR had averaged 28km/l and the NZ 30 km/l !!!

Now ain't that the trick for this ever increasing price on petrol we are suffering at present ??

Good shit Chris. But we're not the ones that need convincing.

Tell all your non motorcycling friends how cheap the bike is to run, that'll help convert more riders. I'd do it myself but a.) I got no friends and b.) everyone I know rides already

Too true !!
That I have been doing also.

Now me Mum wants to buy a bike.
(That isn't so silly, back in 1984 she had a brand-new GSX550 when they were the bees-knees)
