"So they will just represent just me dad?"
    "Errr....No......they will represent everyone"
"So how will they hear my thoughts on a matter?"
"Hmmmmm......tell you what - lets go back to that sex topic aye...."

1000 years of stupid humans. 2000 if you count the fallen races who first adopted this dumb idea.
Simple really. Those with a personal agenda try to get elected. They support their own agenda by selling out to whomever advances their cause. If you don't like it you can either vote someone else in or stand yourself. If you are in the minority your vote does not count.

Kind of like having a trial period at any job except it is for 3 years at a time not 90 days.

Once upon a time if you wrote to an M.P. You got a hand written response from them.

Then in the 90's it became a type response from the office signed by the M.P.

Then in the late 90's it became a typed letter signed on behalf by an anonymous set of initials from the office of the M.P.

Now you might get an email response from a social media representative.

    Progress eh?

Stupid phone / Tapatalk, apologies in advance.

Cunliffe is learning his place. He may stay away from a 'Leaders debate.' on TV3.

Well, I guess if you're not a leader, not much point turning up.

    With Hoskins as a mediator?

Mike "Is David Cunliffe incompetent or mad? Is he out to lunch or out of touch? Is David Cunliffe deluded or living in a parallel universe?" Hoskings!

If it's good enough for Key to challenge Cunliffe to a debate, then not front, it's good enough for DC not to front if there's no point.

Mind you - it could be good for a laugh - just don't expect a good, fair, reasoned debate.

He may well have been doubled booked. I hear he is due to be at his first Transgender re-assignment group meeting at the same time

Seems a bit odd that David Cunliffe would be afraid of Mike Hosking. Its a political debate not a man to man fight.

There is a lot that is odd about politics Winston ... the only reason I can see for having so many of them is the constant diversions that they create!

A circus if you will! Meanwhile back in the jungle ... ... They con us again before we know it!

Seem perfectly reasonable questions to me.

Maybe Key will burst into tears when it's Campbells turn to mediate.....
