    Definition of Tosspot

    Tosspot

The term tosspot, one of abuse, has come to be a synonym for 'tosser', someone who 'tosses' or masturbates. However, it originally referred to commodes as used in medieval London. This is evidenced by the final song in Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare.

When that I was and a little tiny boy,
With hey, ho, the wind and the rain,
A foolish thing was but a toy,
For the rain it raineth every day.

But when I came to man's estate,
With hey, ho, the wind and the rain,
'Gainst knaves and thieves men shut their gates,
For the rain it raineth every day.

But when I came, alas! to wive,
With hey, ho, the wind and the rain,
By swaggering could I never thrive,
For the rain it raineth every day.

But when I came unto my beds,
With hey, ho, the wind and the rain,
With toss-pots still had drunken heads,
For the rain it raineth every day.

A great while ago the world begun,
With hey, ho, the wind and the rain,
But that's all one, our play is done,
And we'll strive to please you every day.
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

You can do it! Used to all the time on the island (admittedly it wasnt an FJ, it was an XT or XR), just make sure that it is bungy-corded nice and securely down one side, with the nose curving INWARDS (very important point this one, otherwise the wind gets inside it, the bungies start to stretch, and next thing you know, you've got a 7'3" wide motorcycle, of which 6'3" just jumped out in front of that oncoming car/tree . . .). On the brightside, if you do come off, then you have an extra layer of protection for your bike!

Of course, back in those days, the board was worth more than the bike . . .

Well, I drive cars (2001 Peugeot 306XT, 1990 Peugeot 205GTi, 1997 Fiat Punto) quite unashamedly. Because I can.

And sometimes (Shock! Horror!) I prefer driving the car to riding the bike. And sometimes, I have a lot of fun driving cars on good biking roads. I can drive a car at getting close to 10/10ths, but a bike at only maybe 4.5/10ths of its capability. I think it's because when I'm driving I can wear summat that allows room for my mighty manhood and ginormous nads, whereas I have to wear these tight leather trousers on the bike.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

And didn't Ben Kingsley sing it beautifully at the end of the fairly recent movie?

I want a copy of that, I do.

    And back on topic.

    I don't hate cars.

I hate what some people behave like in cars.

I don't fully enjoy driving cars - not to the same extent as motorcycle.

    But they have their uses.

Not that I use it because I love my motorcycle so much more..
