    FOR SALE: Gem, the GN250

Yep. The time has come. I've less than two weeks left in New Zealand - so I need to sell the bike.

I've had her for about 8 weeks now. And she's been great. She's had her 6000km service with me, and runs like a Gem (hence my calling her that). She was first put on the road up in Whangerei in February 2005, so her WOF and Registration are still valid until Feb 2006.

She does 110km on the motorway (and you KNOW that's the maximum I would push her) with ease. She's blue. She's got about 7500kms on the clock. She's had her handlebars changed - but I can include the old ones if you'd like them.

PM me for more details if you're interested in purchasing. I don't want to let go of her until the 10th September - but if you want to have a look at her prior to that - we can organise a time.

Apologies to those who've read this twice (ta Slingshot). Ha ha. Like you want a GN250!!!

    Damnit,
I'm looking for another one of these! Shame you're in Welly.
You should still get what you're looking for though, I'd pay that if it was in Aucks.
    Good luck with the sale.

You couldn't come down to Wellington and ride it back why?

Spaz dude...an extra $180 will have the bike delivered to your Auckland door by Cyclemove. That's if you don't wanna let Frosty back on a GN again (though we all know how much he 's them GNus! - right Frosty? )

Eurygnomes - Take your bike around to str8jacket's place to show her your bike... she is in need of another bike... and I reckon by the 10th sept she will be already to jump back on a bike again.

Hey Crashe...just saw your post in Str8's thread! Yeah...I'll talk to her about it at drinks tomorrow - she knows that I"m going, and she knows my bike too! And she was asking for the handlebars when I leave for her own bike! Could be savings all around really! Ta for keeping me in mind though. Gonna bling you for that!

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

    Cheers Frosty,
That sounds like a sweet deal though I'm a little sketchy on how I'll deal with the paper work from Auckland.
Does the post office offer a system to sign the papers?

Keystones right, GN's are rather dull. I wouldn't want to be riding one for 48 hours or so. They are so comfortable to sit on I start to slouch and then my lower back hurts.

    No not yet,
but the stator, clutch plates, carb, calliper, brake shoes, front brake lever sensor, tank, front and rear guard all need looking to, as well as my lack of compresion nowadays.
After I fix those I might right it off.
