    Biker limbos under deadly trap

A biker in Norfolk narrowly escaped serious injury after avoiding a trap set by pranksters. Kevin Peters was forced to take emergency action after seeing a metal pole placed at neck height across a bridge near the B1147 Swanton Morley bridges, near Dereham.

Despite braking hard, Peters had to duck under the steel pole.

PC Kevin Cross, who is investigating the incident, said Mr Peters could have been very seriously hurt.

"It is only because he knows the area and knows there are often people playing round there in the summer that he went round slowly and had time to brake," he said. “If it had been another biker or even someone in a car who knows what would have happened.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Cross at Dereham police station via 0845 456 4567.

far out that is extreme....thowing stones at cars is nothing compared to trying to clothesline a biker...

Reminds me of another news item bob posted sometime ago.

Can't remember exact details or if there were fatalities, but had something to do with someone stringing wire across a road and a motorcycle being caught out.

That'll be the kids who thought it would be funny to wind shrink-wrap across a road. Thankfully there were no fatalities, but the rider and his girlfriend had to bail out to avoid hitting it. A private citizen put up a reward for information, which I understand was a prime driver in the kids being caught and arrested.

This is the item you are thinking of, I believe

    Kids man...

Is it the movies? the computer games? or are they just fucked up?

Saw on the news that the kid that threw the concrete of that bridge in Auckland is being charged with murder, damn straight too.
