with devastation, comes an element of beauty

I was just sent these pics of Katrina, just before she kicked up the real stink.. The email says Katrina, but wouldn't be surprised if they are a couple of storms in there..

I know these things are nature's e-bomb, but something about them just makes them amazing. So I thought I'd share.. And there are several websites with photos of storms too

    and some more.
The two last one from the boat are from a previous storm, which I've been using as desktop pics for a while now.. Just thought they were too amazing to leave off.. Imagine being on that boat at that time..

how do you know they're old?
and what do they start off as?
I'm not doubting that they're genuine Katrina pics, but it's the eye of the storm that these pics are focusing on, not the winds that surround it. A hurricane isn't just a gush of wind that blows over, it's all circulating

The picture in the second lot of the tanker sailing toward the cloud formation has been around for at least 4 years. I used to use it as desktop wallpaper at my previous job.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

They may be old, but its the thought that counts

cos i already have these photos.

Tornados and huricanes are different types of storms, tornados you can see as cloud formation and sometimes they create a funnel that touches down, hurricanes are more like a shit load of wind every where....

    Defintion of a tornado
A localized and violently destructive windstorm occurring over land characterized by a funnel-shaped cloud extending toward the ground

    Definition of a Hurricane
A severe tropical cyclone usually with heavy rains and winds moving a 73-136 knots (12 on the Beaufort scale)

(i have no work to do and i'm bored)
