Hi, these seem to be really well priced for a Snell helmet. I am not after a helmet to replace my Arai RX7 or Bell Carbon, just a spare helmet for occasional pillion use.
Has anyone tried one at all?

They are a well priced entry level helmet.
I've got an LS2 Ride. I really like it although I haven't smashed my nut on anything in it yet so I'm yet to find out if it likes me.
I do miss the finer visor adjustments of my Shark as I find when riding at night I always have to crack it when I hit a 50k zone. You can go straight to 1/3 with the LS2 and then lower it down a bit, but it is more fiddling.
All things considered that is a pretty minor gripe.
Pretty reasonable SHARP results, FF351 excepted.
Ive had one for 2 years as my commuter helmet and I do about 25,000 a year. Good helmet and its lasted well. Showing its age now so Im looking to replace it soon. But any helmet would after that much use. Nothing broken on it or fell off. Drop down visor is naff and dosent really do anything apart from mist up. Pinlock works well. Very happy with it.
I have a HJC RPHA10 for track and spirited rides
I've been using a FF386 flip up for the past 2 years, no problems at all.
Religion is not the opium of people. Opium is
I raced with one for a little while and for the price was good. I see there are a number of Moto3 riders and other riders i see in the media wearing them. Also when I visited Thailand last year almost every Honda Dealership where we stayed stocked them and there were LS2 signs out and around the other bike shops so its a well known brand over there.
Thanks Guys
They are really cheap ex. China, so I will look into it further.
cheers
Had my LS2 for a couple of years now (I think the model no is FF384 but I'm not entirely sure) been pretty happy with it, due for replacement now it's looking pretty beat up.
Not without its problems, fogs at under 70kmh, can be rectified by opening one click though, not the quietest helmet but fine with earplugs (I use in ear headphones which suffice aswell), and tends to try pull your head off if traveling over 200kmh.
But the visor is easy to remove/replace, and since I wear glasses the internal visor is great, saves me having to keep a second visor to switch between clear and tinted visors. Also, I find it hard to find a helmet that really fits well but the LS2 is among the best fit I have tried.
All in all, I think it cost around $200 and I think I got my moneys worth out of it. Would love an RPHA10 or an Arai RX7 but will more likely happily fork out 1/5th the price again for another LS2
My RPHA10 was $399 on sale.
I think they had just come out when I was looking for a new helmet, they were something like $1100. If I can find one for 4 hundred then I can have the RPHA10 I wanted, good shit. There's a place just down from my house in Sydney called the helmet shop or something, think I'll go down there and check it out tomorrow.
Did you get one in the end? I've got an FF369 and after 300ks I think I'm going to look for something else.
It's a flip front and it lets that much air in around the join between the body and front at 100ks my eyes water from all the air flow. I had to stop today to wipe my eyes. If I hold it at the right angle you can actually see right through the gap between the main body and the flip front.
It's ok when wearing sunnies, but with out them I can't safely go over 90k![]()
