Any knowledge on rims?

Hi all, i am looking at building a complete custom chooper/bobber motorcycle. Firstly i am in need of a set of nice rims that i want. i have found some on ebay that are pretty cheap. just want your opinions or if you have any history with cheaper rims. I do not have 1 grand lying around to just spend on rims. this bike will not be one that i will ride very often once all going and together. Cheers.

or if you know of any old spoke rims lying around you wanna sell, thatd be mint.

When I tried to sell my spoked wheels of heritage softtail I didnt get much interest at all.
did sell in the end for under $300.
so keep an eye on old trade me ?
