Does anyone know of any places that sell TaylorMade exhausts in NZ?
I've had a google but cant find anything here. They all seem to be in the US or UK.

There are almost none here and the ones that exist are to pricy to bother with. Have a look online see if any of the big brands do your model of bike or have anything close then shop around a bit to get the best price.

Does TaylorMade make exhausts and golf clubs?
"Standing on your mother's corpse you told me that you'd wait forever." [Bryan Adams: Summer of 69]
Mostly cigarettes I think.
Here's a local (Lyall Bay, Wellington) crowd: neptunemotorcyclemufflers.co.nz/
There are folks on here with their 'zorsts. You pay for the privilege though, like anything NZ Made. It's such a shame people in this country expect more than cents per hour for their work.

Is that Robert Taylor made?

Showing a NZ dealer, not sure how up to date their website is though....
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? ...He's a mile away and you've got his shoes
Scale of economy if you can hydroform 50 exhausts an hour at low cost in a country with far better resources is it a crime to pay less for said exhaust?
I support nz made when it is above the quality of what I can get elsewhere otherwise I do not. Good example of this my Dovo razor is heads above any nz made razor I've seen thus far abd therefore I brought it instead of nz made.

Went to their web site and that put me off - over US$800 for a 'muffler' that runs at 102db with the quiet insert in. Don't think they are doing their job very well mate! Illegal in NZ at that sound level.
For that money - make your own.
Yeah, totally appreciate that economy of scale... also strength of labour laws. I'm fully supportive of what people charge and earn in NZ manufacturing. Just a shame that cost of living here is such that pricing handmade goods to reflect that makes them out of the price range of most NZers, and into the boutique export market.
It would be a very interesting challenge/project to see how far you'd get trying to keep EVERYTHING strictly NZ made and sourced. Obviously have to do without quite a few luxuries. Car would have to be OLD to be NZ made, or a custom of some sort. Of course if there wasn't a suitable car that'd just make more room in the garage for your Britten
Would definitely be keen to see the total cost of trying to maintain a 'New Zealand made' existence.

Cyclework have been around for decades - used to be heaps of their 4-1's on 80's IL4's fatting around NZ.
Harris Pipes in Canterbury been going for ages too.
