Not good.
My Dad went through that, full isolation unit, the whole nine yards.... but he came through it. So chin up and best wishes.

Our thoughts are with you Paul and for a speedy recovery for Vicky.

Todays update.... Vicki had a pretty major emergency this morning. The whole ICU team with every machine in the hospital (including the one that goes 'bing') ready to pounce. The respiratory team got her going again ... She had a CPAC mask that would have scared Darth Vader and looked like an octopus on her face... Gleep.. Pretty intense...
However she also had a specialised nurse and frequent visits from ICU team member doing their best to keep her out of ICU and in High Dependency Unit.. HOWEVER this was the crisis we were waiting for and from the look of her this afternoon I would suggest we have turned a corner.
Before we get excited lets remember that this means we are now not fearing the worst but planning for the best and there is still no talk of going home as her lungs still need time and work to repair. She had an x/ray in bed this afternoon and the doctors were not that happy with it...
Still - I'm at home and will sleep tonight....
Bugger.
Sorry to hear of this Paul. Let's hope she has turned the corner, as you say.
Stay strong mate!
TOP QUOTE: “The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people’s money.”
Sleep well, you need rest too Paul.
Keep reading everything you get to Vicki, she's hearing them alright.
Best wishes and thoughts for you both.
Every day above ground is a good day!:
Wow she has been one tough lady to come through all this. I am pleased you are going to sleep tonight... after a good feed I hope.
Hope tomorrow brings more recovery.

Thanks guys... I saw her back behind her eyes today... Pretty emotional to get her back....

One thing that needs to be said .... Our GP Dr Jan Lavery is all pure CLASS. She was at home tonight and rang me on my cell this afternoon when she got a courtesy copy of Vickis last xray. She was worried about Vicki and called me on her dime after she had already gone above and beyond getting us into hospital...
She had an initial consult with Vicki Monday - had us in and out of xray at another location, prescription filled and in our hand, documents done and medical team at hospital contacted in 30 mins... She came out to the car at her practise to check on Vicki....
Dr Lavery is a credit to GP's everywhere and without a doubt the best and kindest doctor we have ever had...
We're all with you both, mate. I may be only stating the obvious, but is it Pneumonia or Pleurisy?
You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.
Shorai Powersports batteries are very trick!

looking forward to hearing from you on KB Vicki when you're all tickety-boo
Glad to hear you're taking care of yourself Paul
CC

No great progress today (day 6 in hospital) but no falling back either so we will call it a draw... Managed to eat a little again by herself so its all helping towards the first goal of getting her into a ward and out of high dependency...
Wow Paul. Thoughts are with you and Vicki. Looks like the light is at the end of the tunnel tho.
