Don't bother. The FXR is putting out as much HP as it can from stock. You would be able to probably get a couple more HP from some serious tuning but the costs greatly outweigh the power gain. I would suggest getting a nice set of sticky tyres - they are well worth the money. I'm running Bridgestone BT39ss after Twosmokers recommendation. Almost through my 2nd set now, they grip like shit to a blanket.

The FXR does not put out 24HP. Try more around 18

Yeah it's claimed at 20 but it's probably a little less.

How many km are these tyres good for?
    How costly are they?
90% of the time spent writing this post was spent thinking of something witty to say. It may have been wasted.

Don't forget that the FXR speedo is made to read 7km/h faster than you are actually going.

my mate got his fxr with an arrow exhaust which was designed for a Duc 600 or similar. It sounded the shit (like a lil ducati) but was down on power. used to backfire like shit when you slowed down too.

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
